Best Friend is a bit of an interesting one because it sounds like the happiest song in the world, but really it's an imagined scenario of my best friend dying and my inability to cope with or comprehend it.

Death by Denim - Rise     Rock 20/09/2018
Hailing from Perth, the four piece rock formation has been known for their high energy live shows, versatile song writing and tendency to wear outlandish combinations of denim.
Rise is about separation from a lifelong relationship and the overwhelming spectrum of emotion that comes with such events. It was written shortly after attending a Roger Waters concert at Perth arena. The experience inspired us to think about some of the bigger themes in our lives when writing our next work.

Wharves - Mo's Desert Clubhouse     Rock 04/09/2018
WHARVES is an indie rock band based in Lennox Head on the far north coast of NSW Australia.
The music for this track came from our Sapphire Sessions in March 2018. Where stayed in a beautiful house near the beach in Coffs Harbour and jammed for 3 days straight.

The lyrics were inspired by a roadtrip I took in May with the part owner of the Gold Coast arts venue "Mo's Desert Clubhouse".

BATTS is the project of Melbourne based musician and space enthusiast Tanya Batt. Honing in on her sound in 2017 BATTS creates a blend of dream pop/folk and rock.
Gun is about fictional characters, I wasn't feeling inspired by my life and didn't feel any urge to become self destructive like I had in younger years to create. I loved to write stories as a child and thought I'd start writing fiction stories into songs, and creating the music around it to set the vibe and world around it.

“'You Got Left Behind' is about a few things - namely growing up and seeing people have a resistance to do so. With that came the torment of watching loved ones fall into a cycle of self-victimisation, self-harm and self-medication. I wrote the song around the time I was drawing a particular piece for my artistic project, Spectator Jonze.”
