Emperors - Automatic Sigh

Emperors - Automatic Sigh
Automatic Sigh, another pop-laden corker from Perth’s Emperors, tells the story of a boy and his broken toy robot.

The song takes an up- beat, pop-cultury look at what it means to be a kid and then suddenly not a kid anymore.

Take it as an allegory for losing your inner child, dealing with life’s curveballs, or just a bunch of geek-driven lyrics that seemed like a good idea at the time. Either way you’re in for three and a half minutes that’ll have the Aussie bozo inside you aching to say “choon”!

Emperors have been unleashing their brand
of infectious indie-rock music since 2010,
that has seen the band rack up support slots
with Ash, The Breeders, Silversun Pickups,
Japandroids, Sebadoh and Manic Street Preachers just to name a few.

They’ve also toured Australia with the likes of Everclear and Grinspoon, in addition to numerous headline runs.

They served up the ‘US iTunes Song Of The Year’ for debut album Stay Frosty, a foundation has well and truly been set for the bigger and brighter things that lay before them with the release of their second album “Chupacabra”, out Friday February 20 on Gun Fever.
