changoTRee - Big Brass Band
His 8-string mongrel, acoustic-electric guitar inventions, cast his own signature “chang” - her feminine cradling on the resonator, mandolin, acoustic parlor or the hybrid electric guitar, together weave a collocation of male/female styles in unexpected song snaps.

Their debut album “Home” hit number 1 on the AMRAP Regional charts in 2017 and was reviewed masterfully by Rhythms Magasine. Their songs follow the scent of original, magical roots, blues-cruise, funky-folk, tempered with swampy grooves and a splash of surf-Rasta-reggae. This ‘chango’ has detoured its two songwriters from their home base in the Mornington Peninsula. The Postcards From Tomorrow album is the pith of their travelling, writing, recording, & performing shows & festivals in New Orleans, Ireland, the UK, New York, France and their Australian tours.

It can be hypnotic and lilting, then hitting with traces Hendrix and shades of other guitar greats. Ian Treloar’s songs visit themes of space-junk, love, third-world rip-offs, rusted cars, politics, fun, environment; her songs ring sceptical, ironic, thoughtful, satirical, sassy, playful, humorous and compassionate. At the heart, changoTRee meshes the hive of their eclectic, poetic pith with a maturity and a song crafting which is honey for the world.

About this track...

About the working musician in New Orleans is not at all glamorous as it seems. this song celebrates their journey that we musicians share around the globe. We were lucky to be there and witness Pete Fountain's (an iconic Jazz/R&B clarinet player) second line celebration. The classic beat and feel of New Orleans.
