Her debut single ‘Love, Love, Love’ is set for release on June 27, featuring Danny Widdicombe and the Honey Sliders as her backing band. Despite the vast sound Zoey delivers in the single, she returns to her acoustic roots for her live performances, with a dual acoustic guitar and vocal presentation that draws inspiration from the folk revival and acts such as Gillian Welch.
‘Love, Love, Love’ was written in a place Zoey calls ‘the boatshed’: a cabin on the banks of the Brisbane river that, of the evening, boasts a clear view of the constellations overhead. Zoey claims this song was whispered to her, as she daydreamed amidst the land, the sea and the sky.
After a brief hiatus from performance – Zoey returned to the studio in 2018. This year, Zoey is set to release her debut EP and return to the stage to present her new collection of songs.
