Wu Kush - Xenomorph (Modified Man Remix)

Wu Kush - Xenomorph (Modified Man Remix)
Trained in jazz guitar, Melbourne's Wu Kush turned to synths, drum machines and techno after hearing Underground Resistance and Carl Craig interviewed by Heard and Felt label boss Ennio Styles on his 3RRR-FM radio show. Also recording as JXTPS, Juxtpose and Sjazd, and as half of JDJX, he is now using the Wu Kush alias for the beats, grooves, electro-funk, house and Detroit sides of his sound. As well as Heard and Felt he has releases on Suara, Planet Rhythm, Momentary, Circular and Labrynth, gaining support from Jimpster, Philip Sherburne (Pitchfork), Thump, Martyn, Roska, Soulphiction, Deep Space Helsinki, Stacey Pullen, Colin Dale and Slam. He can be heard performing at Melbourne clubs and festivals like Strawberry Fields, where he has shared the bill with Cobblestone Jazz, Max Graef, Nightmares on Wax, Ame, Owen Howells, Giorgio Gigli and his Melbourne contemporaries like Harvey Sutherland, Ben Houghton, Dan White and Kirkis.

About this track...

For fans of Floating Points, K15, Dego/Kaidi.

London's Modified Man (Scrimshire/Deoke) have previously remixed Amp Fiddler, Dele Sosimi (Fela Kuti keyboardist), Hector Plimmer and Makadem & Behr. Here they remix 'Xenomorph' with warm synths and mellow broken beats twisting into house.
