Whitley - TV

Whitley - TV
Emerging from the grips of indefinite hiatus, Whitley returns with new single ‘My Heart Is Not A Machine’. Propelled by a soft, mechanical heartbeat, the track is lifted from Whitley’s forthcoming album 'Even The Stars Are A Mess' - his first release since critically acclaimed sophomore offering 'Go Forth, Find Mammoth'.

As rich in narrative as it is in harmony, ‘My Heart Is Not A Machine’ captures the warmth, beauty and intimacy of Whitley’s debut LP 'The Submarine', while carrying the wisdom and understanding of one Lawrence Greenwood more than five years later.

It’s the first taste of new album 'Even The Stars Are A Mess' - a project that saw Lawrence travel the world over, by way of Mexico, Cuba, England, The Netherlands, Peru and Italy, among others...

The track follows news of Whitley’s return, having been added to the sold out Splendour in the Grass lineup and announcing his own run of headline shows throughout July.

About this track...

Following 'My Heart Is Not A Machine’, Whitley hits back with a vengeance, and more voltage, with new single ‘TV’. Painting the satirical tale of a life lived through television, the track is taken from 'Even The Stars Are A Mess' - an album already hailed Whitley's finest to date.
