With a Sri-Lankan rhythm section and an Aboriginal frontline, White House fuse their ancestral tribal rhythms with the contemporary, concocting a mix that can only be described as FRESH and HIGHLY INFECTIOUS.
Hailing from the inner west and western suburbs of Sydney, this dynamic
group have been rapidly growing in popularity since they originally crewed up in 2006. Whitehouse have since rocked crowds from Vanuatu to Woodford to Sydney and now they are ready to take on the world with their debut
album ‘A Funk Intervention.’
2010 saw Whitehouse win the emerging Indigenous Artist grant allowing Whitehouse to invest in the production of a killer funk/hip-hop album with Gadigal Records, The A&R Department and Sean Carey (from Thirsty Merc fame) as Producer. The first single off the album is an in your face message track about the intervention into Aboriginal communities and it sets the tone for what audiences can expect from their debut album mixed with a couple of surprises.
Whitehouse are like Sly and the Family Stone meets Run DMC.
