Listeners were first introduced to the singer/producer back in December 2012 with the impressive cover of Mario’s ‘Let Me Love You‘ that topped Hype Machine charts and amassed over 5 million online plays to date. She then went on to feature on ‘Breathe in’ with Japanese Wallpaper and Charles Murdoch’s ‘Frogs' alongside Ta-ku and Hak as ewll as with Ta-ku once more with a #1 Hype Machine accredited cover of Kanye West and Estelle’s ‘American Boy’ (re-titled ‘American Girl’).
Wafia then went on to release her XXIX EP, featuring her breakout single 'Heartburn', playing shows around the world including a set with with Ta-ku at New York’s MoMA PS1, as well as Field Day, Southbound, Beyond The Valley and more.
In 2017, she has released two new tracks titled '83 Day's and 'Bodies' which are taken off her forthcoming VIII EP out via Future Classic on Jan 19, 2018. ‘
Single, Bodies (co-written by Ben Abraham and produced by Robopop) calls on her family struggle across the on-going situation in Syria and is her boldest, most personal work to date.
