The Vegetable Plot - Vegetable Plot

The Vegetable Plot - Vegetable Plot
Just months after bringing out his comic rock opus “Chronic Symphonic” on DVD, singer-songwriter and guitar-toting musical comedian, Luke Escombe is back with possibly the most fun release you will hear all year.

Inspired in equal parts by The Muppets, Sun Ra, Parliament-Funkadelic, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Frank Zappa, his new creation is a “roots musical” about intergalactic space vegetables called “The Vegetable Plot”.

The band features a stellar cast, including alt-country songbirds “All our Exes live in Texas” (Elana Stone, Katie Wighton, Georgia Mooney and Hannah Crofts) and soulman Lionel Cole. Cooked up at the same Sydney studio responsible for producing current Triple J Darlings Little May and rapper L-Fresh, this 4-track EP is a colourful salad of musical styles and veggie-related rhymes that’s sure to get your leaves spinning.

It comes freshly mastered by Grammy Award-winning audio sage William Bowden (Gotye). So get ready to throw your root down, twist and sprout and rock out with your broc out as Aspara Gus and his crew take you deep beneath the soil. And this September, see the whole bunch live, backed by a very tasty band, as they make their first public unearthing at the 2014 Sydney Fringe.

About this track...

This is lyrics for kids but musically far more sophisticated than other children’s music, it’s certainly NOT The Wiggles.
