The Saxons - White Collar

The Saxons - White Collar
The Saxons are a four piece indie rock band from Launceston, Tas. Following the release of their debut EP 'Be Rad, Not Sad' in 2015, the band have shared the stage with some major Australian touring acts such as Kingswood, British India, and The Smith Street band, as well as dipping their feet in the musical waters of mainland Australia to launch their single 'Kicking the Habit'.

The band have scored slots at major Tasmanian Festivals, the most prominent being a main stage appearance at Falls Festival in 2016. They have appeared at Northern Tasmanian Festival Party in the Paddock on several occasions including 2018.

With their first full-length record released in February 2018, The Saxons are looking forward to sharing their songs with a wider audience and having a bloody good time while doing so.

Off the back of a string of well received singles, the band released their self-titled record in 2018 independently. The songs are reflective of a sub-culture within their hometown, a place full of challenges for the current generation of youth.

The Saxons have endeavored to write meaningful, and most importantly, fun music for those who wish to seek it.

About this track...

The Saxons emerge with new music for the first time since February 2018. Their new single “White Collar” is their most polished piece of work to date. White Collar is a subtle change of direction for the band, a song that is full of catchy vocal melodies and driving guitars, but subject matter indicating socially conscious outlook.
