In true collaborative spirit, the tracks are written and recorded in a single session, usually in one pass, on vintage and up-cycled gear that includes a guitar amp picked up from Kerbside Collection, a vintage drum kit, a home-made keys amp and a bass amp that spent the '74 floods in the trunk of car in the city, now lovingly called 'Floodie'.
With influences spanning the funk and soul spectrum - we're talking Wilson Pickett, Sam and Dave, The Staple Singers, Sly & The Family Stone, The Budos Band, The JB's, Sharon Jones and Curtis Mayfield - The New Buzz are injecting Brisbane with a desperately needed dose of original soul music.
Its a get down situation!!
