The Creases - Gradient

The Creases - Gradient
2014 has been a year rammed with achievements for The Creases. Along with being selected by triple J to open Laneway Festival in Brisbane in Feb, they’ve also supported an array of talented artists, from Drenge and Jake Bugg locally to Shy Nature overseas. They’ve played shows across the UK and the US, including SXSW and festivals such as Live At Leeds and The Great Escape.

Recent weeks have seen the band release a debut EP and hold their own on the main-stage at Splendour In The Grass.

The EP’s popular lead single, ‘Static Lines’, received an abundance of triple J and community radio airplay in addition to a wealth of blogosphere love upon release.

Now, The Creases give us another single to fall for, a song which also shares the EP’s title of ‘Gradient’. Resplendent with fuzzy guitars, memorable riffs and feel-good melodies, all bedded down with Joe Agius’ offbeat vocals, ‘Gradient’ is another slice of garage-pop bliss from the Brisbane four-piece.

Next up, the band will perform at BigSound and join Sydney world-beaters DMA’s on their forthcoming national jaunt throughout September and October.
