As well as “I Still Love”, the EP also features single “Broke ft. Swarè”. An ultra-relatable tale of living on the breadline, “Broke” was written with and sung by Sydney artist Swarè. The single is accompanied by an appropriate video. Talia wanted a suitably luxurious clip to match the aspirational sentiment of the song, but like the character in the song was too “Broke” to get one. However, we found a guy in Jamaica on fiverr.com who makes “bling” videos for (AU$146.14). So the video was made.
Talia is a pathologist by day who makes beats by night. Preferring to operate in private, enlisting help from vocalists such as Soma and Swarè, collaborating only via email, Talia has created the EP. Veering wildly from Prefuse 73-type electronica, through Boards of Canada-esque ambience, to poppy ear worms, Talia refuses to dwell on one mood for more than one song. But despite the eclectic nature of the EP, Talia's mischievous spirit provides the thread on which the EP hangs, the seven songs holding together with an unlikely consistency.
