Drawing from artists like The Cure and Talking Heads - breaking into fragments of funk via textured experimental pop bands Beach House and Methyl Ethel, Syrup’s sound began to come into focus.
The project found its voice when Harry connected with childhood friend Henry Anderson, who adds a mature, sophisticated baritone vocal and complex melodic guitar capability to the production heavy tracks.
After a while structuring their path and working with talented artists such as Slum Sociable, the boys have realised their sound and it exudes confidence.
Previous releases 'Ride Safe' and 'Something to Wear' have already caught the attention of the industry. Having only formed at the beginning of 2019, Syrup's creative output is unrivalled. Their new single . 'Collision Course' sits in the sweet spot between gritty brit pop and dancey nu-wave, backed up by impeccable production and a roaring guitar sound that puts the Syrup stamp on this piece sonic goodness.
