With a sound that’s drawn comparisons to The Go-Betweens and the Cocteau Twins, Sunscreen’s unapologetic live performance and intoxicating sound has been praised for the way it yields power through emotional vulnerability. Sunscreen recently shared new singles ‘High Over Love’ and ‘Think About You’, the first taste of their forthcoming EP, Falling In An Elevator, out August 23rd via Spunk! Records. Written over the course of years, the energetic 5-track exudes a beautiful toughness; exploring romantic idealisation, heartache and self-possession with frank, powerful vulnerability. Produced by Simon ‘Berkfinger’ Berkelman (Philadelphia Grant Jury, Art Vs Science), and including new bass player Oliver Ellis, the EP finds the band’s lush, dreamy sound, informed by a new-found confidence and lucidity.
