The accompanying video, directed by Clancy Walker and shot by Sean T. Barnes, was filmed over two nights around Melbourne. Starring Terry Yeboah as a delivery driver forced to deliver a meal against mounting odds, the clip is a meditation on loneliness and optimism.
Nick reveals "My favourite things about this video are: 1. It was shot incredibly quickly. 2. Though a great serious actor, Terry was hilarious between takes. 3. Clancy actually signed up to be an Uber Eats driver to get the bag for the clip. 4. I didn’t have to sing in it but still got to do a cameo. 5. As soon as it was done Clancy flew to Mexico to help save an endangered type of porpoise."
The forthcoming album, Goodness Gracious, is a self-produced affair, written, recorded and mixed by Sowersby in his home studio before being mastered by John Lee at Phaedra Studios. Sonically, Goodness Gracious trades in Wonderer’s experimental headphone psychedelia for something at once more intimate and expansive, full to the brim with chiming guitars, glittering loops and warped, cinematic strings.
