One of those many fruits of the sessions is their second single “Hanging Hearts”, recorded by Shaun Gaida and mixed by Timothy R Dunn (Kirin J Callanan, Frowning Clouds, Straight Arrows) at Hanging Tree Studios. Reluctant to reveal all, Adam explains Hanging Hearts “is a bit of a look at lovers, at life and the ups and downs that comes with it.”
The sextet’s laidback surf-rock vibes and take-off-your-shoes-and-dance melodies has already seen them support the likes of US garage rockers, Guantanamo Baywatch, Australia (the band) and The Pretty Littles.
Soaked in warm rays, copper-tinted, and framed by expired film stock, Sun Sap’s unabashedly buoyant and carefree loose grooves of “Hanging Hearts” will have your foot tappin’ before the ends out. “Hanging Hearts” is a snippet of what’s to come from the bands debut LP, coming in the new year.
