In the same year his promising tennis career came to an abrupt end after being trounced by a girl half his age and height. Case was 24 at the time.
Swapping the tennis racquet for a guitar reaped immediate rewards when Case was invited to perform not one but two songs at his very first open mic night.
He then began playing pubs and clubs in his home town of Wagga Wagga where he soon established a solid reputation for super slow load in and lightning fast load out times.
Growing tired of being a little fish in a small pond Case decided to move to Brisbane in an attempt to fade into complete musical obscurity.
This produced mixed results with national street press and music magazines appraising his debut EP "Leaving Home" favourably.
His experiences on the road have provided the inspiration for his latest Ep release "Somewhere Where I'm Not".
While his musical peers have gone on to achieve critical and commercial success, Case continues to be one of the nation's most underexposed songwriting forces.
