Small Town Romance - How It Goes

Small Town Romance - How It Goes
Like Country Music pied pipers Small Town Romance collect fans wherever they go. Comprising of Jim Arneman and Flora Smith who share the song writing duties, Jim a lover of narrative and Flora a lover of melody together they bring about a perfect harmony.

Small Town Romance released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut in 2016, collecting nominations for both Best Country Album at the Music Victoria Awards and Best New Talent at the CMAA's Golden Guitar awards.

As the son of Anne Kirkpatrick and the grandson of Slim Dusty and Joy McKean, Jim Arneman has a rich family musical lineage to draw on but also has some hefty shoes to fill. The release of their debut album announced the arrival of new generation in this country musical family that proudly follows in the family tradition of telling Australian stories, but Small Town Romance do so in a voice that is uniquely their own.

The last 18 months have seen Small Town Romance playing all over the country and sharing stages with the likes of Don Walker, Eilen Jewell, Jordie Lane, The Wilson Pickers and The Davidson Brother. They are currently in the process of recording their sophomore release.

About this track...

How It Goes is the new single form Small Town Romance. Situated firmly in the tradition of miserable, country duets, How It Goes tells of a mundane yet devastating break up. No fights, no public scenes, just the quiet tragedy of two people realising they no longer love each other.
