The Aboriginal name for Cobar means Earth Burnt. It’s a tough place.
Around Cobar you work hard and you play harder.
And when a bunch of local Muso’s got together they played hard: Burnt Earth.
As a young band Burnt Earth travelled extensively throughout Australia cutting their teeth doing Backing gigs, Festivals, B&S Balls, Clubs and Pubs.
As their reputation for staging riveting, exciting power shows grew, Burnt Earth found themselves supporting the likes of Dragon, Phil Emanuel, Dave Gleeson, Choir Boys, Col Elliot, Tanya Self, Felicity Urquhart, Jade Martin Band, Craig Giles, Jamahl Hamilton, Lee Kernighan, and more.
Shane Josephson is the lead singer of the band.
