Selki is an Alt Pop Artist From Melbourne Australia. Selki started of as a solo alt folk project at times backed by a 4 piece band.
In 2014 and was voted in the final four of the Melbourne Music Bank competition, recording a 3 track Ep With Sam Teskey from the Teskey Brothers at the end of the year.
2015 saw Selki relocate to Paris France to Study abroad. she began exploring the electronic music thing. Working with Loic Devehat from Soyou studio’s on a three track Single, Skins. This was recorded in 2015 and released later in April 2017, receiving plays on Rage, MTV and across multiple radio stations in Australia and the UK.
Singing for different electronic producers and as the lead guitarist to Melbourne all girlband TomGirl, Selki has played around numerous Indie and electronic Festivals in Australia such as : Rainbow Serpent festival, Ocean Rhythms Festival, Kennedy’s Creek, The Town,Tanglewood and more. Performing the debut of her alt improvisational electronic project at Strawberry Fields in 2017.

Selki incorporates catchy pop melody’s with a deep emotional story and sensitivity in her lyrics with powerful and at times improvisational vocals. often accompanied by keys and her laptop .

This song is about how when things are hard we can put a ribbon on it. There are so many more people dealing with alot more then our first world selves and often we indulge in our dramas and feel sorry for ourselves rather then feeling appreciation and moving forward.
