Lisa Caruso - Borrow My Body     Rock, Pop 19/07/2019
Lisa’s songs scream empathetic feelings. Fronting a band full of guts, with heart on sleeve lyrics, a unique vocal, and arrangements nostalgic of 60’s and 90’s indie eras.
Disrobed and romantic, ‘Borrow my Body’ is layered with warm synthesised piano and shimmering guitars under an honest raw vocal. Kept in time with a lone ride cymbal, peaks and troughs are led by fearless baritone guitar and measured amplifier feedback, finishing large with help from a tom drum rhythm.

AM Reruns - Vicious     Rock, Pop, Rock, Pop 30/07/2019
Three-piece guitar band from Melbourne, playing reduced, stylish and modern rock'n'roll music. An idiosyncratic take on '70s LA punk rock with a sliver of Northern England drama.
"Vicious" is a three-minute proto-punk tyre fire, fuelled by the clear-headedness that follows saying goodbye to a narcissistic companion. The track takes inspiration from the escapist teenage dramas Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The O.C., and the masterful midnight riffage of Patti Smith Group's Ivan Kral and The Stooges' James Williamson.

The Good Minus - I'll Decide For You     Rock 20/08/2019
The Good Minus are a Melbourne based all-singing power-trio. With songs featuring intricate three-part harmonies, the band’s style can be described as Grizzly Bear reimagining the songs of Elbow.
I’ll Decide For You is the second single from the Good Minus’ debut album. It is about people being insincere and making decisions about what they think is best for others. The song was recorded and engineered by David Kean and mixed by Greg J Walker (Machine Translations). It was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Studios (NY).

Hard-Ons - Oh, You're Crushed?     Punk, Metal, Pop 27/08/2019
The Hard-Ons are back with their rampaging 12th album “So I Could Have Them Destroyed”. 'Oh You're Crushed?' is the new punk-power-chord chugging and sub-metal riff-a-rama single!
The latest single from the Hard-ons’ opus “So I Could Have Them Destroyed”, once again provides ample evidence that brutal power can stand side-by-side with brilliant, uplifting pop sensibilities. Primal punk power-chord chugging and sub-metal riff-a-rama quickly gives way to a soaring, infectious chorus. The coda is a blistering sonic lead guitar attack underpinned by the ghost of Keith Moon.

The Good Minus - Blood Brothers     Rock 18/09/2019
The Good Minus are a Melbourne based all-singing power-trio. With songs featuring intricate three-part harmonies, the band’s style can be described as Grizzly Bear reimagining the songs of Elbow.
Blood Brothers is the third single from The Good Minus’ debut album. It is a song about growing up in the Northern Territory and childhood friendships that don’t last. The song was recorded and engineered by David Kean and mixed by Rohan Sforcina (Head Gap Studios). It was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Studios (NY).

The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Lachlan West, and recorded at their local Housefox Studios in Sydney.

Kim Salmon - Let's All Get Destroyed     Rock 04/10/2019
Kim Salmon, AKA the Godfather of Grunge, also known for the Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon and much other music, has 2 singles and a book coming out November 8!
Kim Salmon’s brand new single Lets’ All Get Destroyed features Kim destroying on every instrument played here, in a swaggering rollicking piece of T Rextacy that could be about us all…. blindly destroying all…… Or it could be about us all getting just getting blind… and ‘destroyed’. This release is coming out on prestigious US indie label In The Red.

Hard-Ons - Bad Bad Temper To Match     Rock, Punk, Pop 24/10/2019
The Hard-Ons are back with their rampaging 12th album “So I Could Have Them Destroyed”. 12 new punk-power-chord chugging and sub-metal classics.
This track had been a staple in the Hard-ons live set for a couple of years. For that reason, it came together straight away in the studio. We all like the song very much. It is a good meeting of heavy riffing with a catchy chorus. It was done in one take.

Other tracks by Hard-Ons:  Better By The Hour  -  Midnight
Badgers - Make It Rain     Alternative, Pop, Psych, Garage 30/10/2019
The power of three Witches with one Warlock in the Coven decorated like a tropical storm and reminiscent of a 60's hippy-shake with a Brian Jonestown twist.
Debut single ‘Make It Rain’ is a driving, party-ready belter that charges with a reckless melodic abandon into a groove deeper than the cracks in a ‘70s vinyl chair back, showering steely-eyed good-time vibes like a sprinkler set to ‘stunning’.

The Scientists - Dissonance     Alternative, Punk, Garage, Pop 31/10/2019
Kim Salmon, AKA the Godfather of Grunge, also known for the Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon and much other music, has 2 singles and a book coming out November 8!
In late 70s they appeared. They had a crazy beat! They had jarring guitars! They had a guy out the front screaming himself into a state of bug eyed confusion! Then they were gone! Frozen in suspended animation. But wait, the ice is melting. The Scientists are back, out of the Lab with this slab…of Dissonance!

Sunnyboys - Can't You Stop     Rock, Alternative, Pop, Indie 08/11/2019
Sunnyboys are enjoying a renaissance rarely seen for any band. In truth their popularity now eclipses what it did in 1980-1984. Why not then give the people new music?
Can’t You Stop is a reworking of a song Jeremy recorded as The Fisherman in 1986. The short-lived trio were Jeremy’s immediate post-Sunnyboys band and the original version was released on the Waterfront label the same year. In this guise Can’t You Stop features an all new arrangement plus those trademark Sunnyboys harmonies. It rocks.

Kim Salmon - The Poison Pen     Alternative, Rock, Garage, Punk 09/11/2019
Kim Salmon, AKA the Godfather of Grunge, also known for the Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon and much other music, has 2 singles and a book coming out November 8!
Words once said are hard to un-say, but words once written are even harder to un-see. People will say things…but also, they will write things…and they will send things. Filters go down, send buttons get pressed, envelopes get pushed. Bad write ups….Toxic Texts…. all forms…we’ve all read them. This Poison Pen provocatively accompanies Doug Galbriath’s Kim Salmon Biography.

Lisa Caruso - Dream Lover     Alternative, Rock, Pop 13/11/2019
Unafraid to tell it like it is, Lisa's known for her unique vocal and heart on sleeve songs, naming her a finalist at The 2019 Australian Women in Music Awards.
Empowering and unrelenting, ‘Dream Lover’ explores a 60s esque vulnerability that abruptly appears amidst this fierce indie tune. Demonstrating a lovers persistent cry, Lisa’s voice soars over bullish guitars, resounding organs, and the drive of a coercive Drum Kit, unleashing in opportune moments, and falling aptly apart in others.

Sunnyboys - Way After Five     Rock, Punk, Pop 29/11/2019
Sunnyboys are enjoying a renaissance rarely seen for any band. In truth their popularity now eclipses what it did in 1980-1984. Why not then give the people new music?
Jeremy’s voice at times just a croak - a by-product of the life he has lead for much of last 40 years and which has now been well documented - adding further poignancy to the songs lyric - and it’s another Oxley classic. It while may not feature the trademark Sunnyboys sound but it still remains trademark Sunnyboys.

Other tracks by Sunnyboys:  Strange Cohesion  -  Lovers (On Another Planet’s Hell)
Inklines - Wherever You Go     Rock, Alternative 17/01/2020
Inklines are a three-piece rock band from Sydney, forming in 2017. In just two years, audiences have flocked in droves to hear the group’s unique take on guitar-driven alt-rock.
‘Wherever You Go’ is an ode to the end. A final goodbye to things in your life that weigh you down, make you unhappy, or simply no longer serve a purpose. The second single from ‘Inklines’ upcoming EP, ‘Wherever You Go’ has a thumping ‘straight to the point’ verse, which is polarised by a hook-laden, melodic chorus.
