Brian Ritchie – Violent Femmes, Curator Mona Foma Festival.
“ ..the most enjoyable introduction to a new band — and great new songwriting talents — that I’ve seen and heard in many years.”
Bob Gosford – The Daily Review – Crickey.com.au
Rayella is a family group from Marlinja Community, located approximately 730 kilometers south of Darwin in the remote Northern Territory of Australia. Raymond Dixon and his daughter Eleanor are the driving force behind the beautiful melodies and stories that emerge from this engaging act, be it at a campfire sing along or a festival in front of thousands.
Lead singer Eleanor’s magical voice paired with her father's skillful guitar playing and harmonizing captivate audiences with their honest, emotive tunes about family, country and culture.
2014 was a huge year for Rayella being invited to perform at the famous MONA Museum in Tasmania, Folk Rhythm and Life Festival in Victoria as well as countless shows throughout the NT. They are currently supporting the release of their debut album ‘Rayella’.
