Joel Rapaport is a 33yr old hip hop MC, guitarist and producer, co-founder and managing director of Big Village Records; the creator and director of improvised hip hop and art theatre show, ‘Sketch The Rhyme’; and the founder and manager of hip hop music education organisation, ‘School of Rap’.

He has released two singles from his forthcoming album ‘What I Got’ Produced by Ribongia in September 2016 and ‘FAM’ ft P.Smurf in March 2017. ‘What I Got’ was nominated at FBi’s SMAC award’s for Best Song of 2016, and was added to FBi Radio rotation. Rapaport’s forthcoming album ‘Village Idiot’, will be released in September 2017.

Rapaport delivers his self effacing, neurotic lyrics in a UK grime influenced intensity and 90’s boom bap groove and precision. Rapaport’s beats have a diverse range of influences from Hip hop, UK bass, soul, African groove, garage and grime.

He released his debut album “Laughing on The Inside” in 2009. As a member of hip hop trio Loose Change, he released the album “Listening Party” in 2012.

Rapaport is creator and director of the improvised hip hop and visual art gameshow ‘Sketch The Rhyme’.
