He spent 2018 working behind-the-scenes on some diverse music projects - publishing a discography of quietly successful peaceful piano music, touring Europe, America and Australia, as well as writing and producing pop tunes for other artists.
In 2019, he’s ready to show off his passion as a pop songwriter and tell his own stories of growth and heartbreak. It’s been four years since he put out his own material - his 2015 single, “Orchestra” was a swift, indie pop anthem with an extravagant music video short film filmed in Brisbane about two friends’ desperate attempts to escape an evil cult.
“Heaven”, his first new single released independently in November, has already garnered just shy of 100,000 streams across all platforms and is the opening chapter to a series of electronic pop songs Phil will be releasing over the next year.
His new sound is inspired by the production of Troye Sivan and Lauv with the sorrowful lyrical content of Emeli Sandé and John Mayer.
