Perch Creek - Why Won't You Come Home

Perch Creek - Why Won't You Come Home
With childhoods spent performing as a jug band in Northern NSWs hippy heartland, Perch Creek have outgrown their past to become an act that can't be ignored. Now based in Melbourne, the band now perform original songs with a 70s twist, spanning styles as diverse as folk, rock and funk with their trademark vocal harmonies threading them together.

The band have extensively toured Australia and overseas, including the UK and Europe (2010, 2012 and 2014) Canada (2014 and 2015) as well as performing in the US and Dubai. Perch Creek have been on the bill at numerous internationally recognised festivals and venues including Edinburgh Fringe, WOMAD (UK), Winnipeg Folk Festival (Canada), Golden Plains, Falls Festival, MONA FOMA and Woodford Folk Festival as well as ABC TV’s Spicks and Specks. They have received extensive national airplay and secured the #1 position on AMRAP’s Airit charts at the time of their 2014 album release Jumping On The Highwire, which was also nominated for "Best Roots Album" in the 2014 Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards.

The band consistently deliver unforgettable, high-energy shows - at moments haunting, but ultimately uplifting.
