Parkville defy expectations with Walkabout, trading the manic latin-rock of recent single Rooks for pure feel-good folk-pop. The band once again worked alongside Northeast Party House's production/mixing dream team Sean Kenihan and Malcolm Besley, resulting in Parkville's most polished, radio-ready single yet.
Settling on their name in late 2017, the band's first release as Parkville received Australia-wide airplay throughout 2018. Subsequent releases caught the attention of tastemakers, who praised the bands “eclectic instrumental arrangement” (A&R Factory).
2019 has already been a landmark year for Parkville, having joined forces with producer Sean Kenihan of Northeast Party House on recent single Rooks to great success. Critics applauded the way it “builds into a truly epic slice of music” (Hhhhappy).
The band have toured the single interstate, featured at a TEDx Melbourne talk, and appeared on a number of festival lineups since.
