Inspired by the band’s experiences in going through the day-to-day grind of life, Come Around channels this relatable notion within their most recent folk-pop anthem.
Parkville defy expectations with Come Around, trading the feel-good folk-pop sounds of previous single Walkabout, with a more stark representation of the band’s multifaceted approach to songwriting.
Once again working alongside Northeast Party House's production/mixing dream team Sean Kenihan and Malcolm Besley, the band push their sound to undiscovered territory with a unique mix of contemporary influences nestled neatly alongside fan favourite trademarks audiences have come to know and love from the group.
Cutting their teeth busking on the streets of Melbourne, bandmates Liam, Michael and Dylan soon developed a winning formula: a driving Mumford & Sons-style backbone embellished with rich three-part vocal harmonies and soaring violin riffs, taking influence from The Beach Boys and Punch Brothers.
