Amrap's AirIt | Australian Music Radio Airplay Project :: Blues :: Kutcha Edwards - Blind Joe's Creek

Kutcha Edwards - Blind Joe's Creek

Kutcha Edwards - Blind Joe's Creek
Rich, powerful and soulful, Kutcha Edward’s Blak & Blu features some of Australia’s best blues and roots musicians including Jeff Lang, Dan Sultan and Rebecca Barnard.

Kutcha’s story is one of twists and turns, ups and downs but always one of family and culture. Blak & Blu is an album of his soul; a road journey of his spirit.

Australia’s best blues and roots musicians have added their voices to this album - Jeff Lang, Dan Sultan, Chris Wilson, Rebecca Barnard to name a few.

The second single 'Roll With the Rhythm' features Dan Sultan. Blown away by his first live music concert, Robert Cray at Melbourne Town Hall in the 1980s, Kutcha returned home and penned this track. Kutcha revisits and reinvents it for his new album adding the gritty blues vocals of Dan Sultan.
“With Dan Sultan bringing the smoke to the smoulder, Roll With the Rhythm has a beautifully loose grip on the requisite form and fire but it's the content - a call to Fitzroy Kooris for patience and solidarity - that seals Edwards' epiphany as a born bluesman" - Michael Dwyer, The Age

Blak & Blu will soothe your soul when you get the Blu’s.
