Juice Webster - We Don't Have To Talk

Juice Webster - We Don't Have To Talk
A Melbourne based singer/songwriter brought up on a healthy diet of artists such as Nick Cave, Cat Power, Emmy-Lou Harris and Jeff Buckley, it’s no wonder that Juice Webster’s own brand of revealing alt-folk is emotionally and lyrically driven. Now, as a fully fledged adult, Webster’s tastes have developed beyond that of her parents and siblings. Influenced by the vulnerable and introverted qualities of artists such as Grouper and Juliana Barwick, and the honest and forthcoming storytelling of artists like Adrianne Lenker, Webster’s songs delve deeply inwards.

Sonically, Webster blends the classic characteristics of folk music with alt/indie rock qualities. Often deviating from traditional pop song structures, it’s clear that Webster’s compositions are of an intuitive nature. Her ethereal, haunting vocals capture the rawness and vulnerability that is reflected in the subject matter of her songs. With explicit and captivating lyrics, Webster entices the listener from the first note, drawing them into a story or a feeling that stays with them forever.
