A lush wash of harmonies featuring backing vocals by Yuko Nishiyama and backed by members of The Hello Morning, it evokes memories of long summer days, road trips and places you wish you could return to.
Juan is perhaps best known as the singer, guitarist & songwriter from Ballarat band, Epicure who called it a day back in 2011.
Gold Beach was conceived whilst driving along the west coast of the US in May of 2017. Juan happened across the small coastal town of Gold Beach, Oregon. It was a cool day and an eerie mist had descended on the town giving it an almost otherworldly quality. He walked the streets, chatted with some locals, bought himself a slice of cheese pizza at the Panthers Den and wandered down to the beach. He stayed there on the beach for a while and, when it came time to leave, he wished he could have stayed on. Had a life there. A different life. Someone else’s life.
