He now regularly travels the outback singing, teaching guitar, acting as mentor to many sharing his passion for music and writing.
A diverse audience now enjoys the music of John O’Dea. Tourists from overseas sit around campfires enthralled by his laidback, story telling style. People are inspired and entertained by the depth of his talent, his passion for words and that dry, outback sense of humour.
The songs that flow from John O’Dea’s pen are infinitely relatable. He seems to be able to put into song the very thoughts and feelings of everyday Australian men, women and children.
John has won several songwriting awards in SA ,been a finalist in Mildura and also
a finalist in the 2009 Golden Guitar Awards with a song he wrote recorded by Matt Manning called THE SADDLE
