Marguerite's songs will spirit you away to warm and beautiful places as the sun after a long cold winter... Peter Urquhart’s passionate and sublime violin is the prefect accompaniment.
All the time in the world is a beautiful song which took shape in the studio. It was improvised on the spot in the recording session. What you hear is what happened in the moment.

Compared with Max Richter, Dustin O’Halloran and Nils Frahm, Sydney-based Sophie has amassed an impressive body of work, releasing five albums to date and receiving critical praise worldwide.
A great tenderness and soft comforting warmth of the piano, the notes themselves vary between flurry and filigree. Beautiful strings to accompany in sections, undulating like a long road travelled.

Baldwins - Dirty Sheets     Funk/Soul, RnB, Jazz, Rock 04/03/2017
Baldwins are an eight-piece progressive-soul band from Sydney, Australia. Turning the rhythmic groove of neo-soul/hip-hop, lush harmony of jazz and rock energy into an unconventional sound that's entirely their own.
'Dirty Sheets' is about the journey we take through the exhilaration of love and lust. The excitement pumping through your body; the butterflies lifting you; a lover's touch melting you in an instant... Then comes a moment when that's stripped away - leaving you confused whether it was really there.

Michael Kieran Harvey is one of the foremost interpreters of contemporary piano music of his generation. A musician, a composer, he regularly commissions and performs new Australian music.
The accompanying chords contain many major second intervals, giving the piece a heavy fatigued feeling. Plenty of improvisational feel!

Drummer/percussionist turned singer/eclectic songwriter, jp combines all his worldly influences into a platter of catchy songs that you can dance, sing-a-long, make love and break up to.
'All This Time', featuring vocalist Scarlet Daly, gives a subtle nod to 70's funk whilst travelling through Brazilian-esque grooves. It's a poppy song about your everyday modern relationship, but there are some extra paranoia-peppers hiding in-between the lines as we get to witness some classic miscommunication and its fallout.

Other tracks by jp:  Goodbye  -  Eleanor
Dr Sinha's Jazz Lobotomy - Grown Man     Hip Hop, RnB, Jazz, Pop 03/02/2017
Meticulously prepared hot grooves and tasty melodies that explore identity and culture in Australia.
Flirting with influences like BadBadNotGood and Mick Jenkins, this isn't straight-up jazz. It's jazz carefully excavated, sampled and manipulated. Touching on detrimental social ideals of what masculinity means, 'Grown Man' is an incisive take that never loses its glibness - complete with shoutout to David Attenborough.

Mister Ott - Single Shot     Jazz, World 01/02/2017
Mister Ott’s second album Single Shot sees the band expand their Ethiojazz sound to incorporate psychedelic guitars, reverb-drenched horns, intergalactic keys, and a crunchy drum/bass combo.

Caiti Baker - Make Your Own Mistakes     Pop, Swing, Jazz, Soul 26/01/2017
Caiti writes songs about what she knows and feels, sings with her guts and soul and unashamedly performs the hell out of them.
'Make Your Own Mistakes' is Caiti's belief about how you don’t need to be judged or told what to do if someone thinks you're going about it the wrong way. Caiti's vocals are sung with attitude over fat double bass, trad-meets-hiphop drums, crunchy guitar samples, and a killer horn section.
