Up In The Air features sparse production and vocals that go from soaring to sounding fragile; lyrics that don’t just amount to hiding beneath the shade-cloth. It builds on the retro vibe, showcasing a singer-songwriter who has found her place in a dreamy, melodic pop world, with an edgy darkness.

Brisbane-based saxophonist and composer Joshua Hatcher's new album "Now and Then" features original music inspired by the acoustic, melodic sounds of 50s/60s jazz LPs.
This tune is inspired by the Wayne Shorter composition "One by One", thus "Succession". It has a Jazz Messengers hard bop vibe with tightly constructed, contrasting solos and plenty of hard swinging.

A relatively upbeat track by our standards, this features the sweet breathy vocals of pop-soul artist Simone Gill along with Girl Overboard guitarist Robin Gist and the soprano sax of jazz legend Tony Buchanan over an intense drum groove from Barnaby Gold.

Written by Anita Levy, arranged by Bruno Valenti (based in Spain) and recorded at Soggy Dog Studios Melbourne.
