March 18th marks Emily’s long awaited official recording debut! It takes the form of debut single ‘Ngerraberrakernama (Wake Up)’ (phonetically - nehrah-berah-ker-nahma), the first taste of her forthcoming debut EP.
Singing in English and Anindilyakwa (phonetically - annen-dilly-yark-wah), the traditional language of her home Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, playing guitar, keyboard and ukulele Emily is both a prolific song-writer and multi-instrumentalist. ‘Ngerraberrakernama (Wake Up)’ means ‘shining star’, and was written especially for Clancestry to sing with Bernard Fanning.

Nattali Rize (of Blue King Brown) collaborates with Julian Marley, son of the late great Bob Marley, on new deep reggae track. Their rare video clip was filmed at Bob Marley’s house and surrounding areas in Kingston Jamaica. This is a first-of-its-kind release for any Australian singer.
