Imogen Clark - Take Me For A Ride

Imogen Clark - Take Me For A Ride
The world of alt-country has been waiting for the likes of Imogen Clark. After picking up her dad’s old Maton at age 8, life was headed in one direction for the poignant singer.

“When I started writing songs, it was because I had grown up listening to Dad’s original music and aspired to tell stories like he did,” says the now 20-year-old.

This originality and story telling is evident in “Take Me For A Ride”, Clark’s first single from her upcoming debut album.

Imogen has been making a name for herself in the touring and song writing circuit, having supported the likes of Australian mainstays Matt Corby and The McClymonts. Clark represented Australia for the second time this year at the Americana Music Festival in Nashville, where she played her own showcase and wowed audiences at the world famous Bluebird Café. Clark’s stunning song writing also meant she was shortlisted for the Vanda & Young song writing competition in 2014 and was a finalist in the International Song Writing Competition. Imogen is already off to a great start in 2016 having been nominated for Best New Oz Artist at the CMC awards.

Stay tuned for another great year from Imogen!

About this track...

Take Me For a Ride was written in Nashville and captures the raw, gutsy and soulful vibe of Imogen Clark's upcoming album. Like the whole record, the song is an honest but optimistic view of love, analysing the good, the bad and the ugly.
