Heavenly Antennas - Misery

Heavenly Antennas - Misery
Heavenly Antennas are a Sydney-based duo who collaborate to produce recording artists, film scores and huge sound-installations for multi-media events. Their music ranges from the arty and obscure - such as creating an entire score out of antique vibrators for an SBS documentary - to huge orchestral scores for immersive cross-media experiences such as the Shanghai Pavillion at World Expo, or the closing song of Doha Games, seen by 80 million people.

This May, Heavenly Antennas have been invited to create the musical score to accompany the projections onto the sails of the iconic Sydney Opera House as part of this year’s VIVID Sydney Festival. This is the first time Australian artists have been invited to create this installation.

To celebrate their involvement with Sydney’s most dynamic and iconic soiree, the twosome will also release an original single titled Misery, a cinematic-electro-pop offering featuring Berlin-based chanteuse Larissa Rate.

Born out of a culture clash of two very different voices, Heavenly Antennas combines the electro-sculpting of Josh Wermut, with the orchestral & songwriting background of Kyls Burtland. This versatility has allowed them to work with a number of artists such as Daniel Merriweather, Tigertown and Husky.
