Talking about the track, The Lex Man explains he wrote ‘Making Money’ about not making money, with his described lack of income making him question the sustainability of his career as a touring musician.

The Jensens - Emotion     Rock, Funk 01/07/2017
Formed out of friendship and a desire to authentically express their shared musical ideals, The Jensens have been capturing attention both on stage and in the studio.
‘Emotion’ was largely recorded in the band’s own home studio, with additional recording at Plutonium and Bedlam studios, with the help of Steve Kempnich.

The band say the track is about the "fear that living life through a lens will cause emotions to fade and detract from what is essential."

The Flowers are a three piece alternative indie rock band based in Sydney, with Agnes O'Dwyer on vocals, Dylan Clark on guitar and Leighton Cauchi on drums.
Dylan wrote the guitar part when he was 12 strung out on proactive skin care. Our first jam as The Flowers Agnes sang a cool melody over the chords and the rest wrote itself.

Inspiration for the lyrics came from a years worth of travelling around, suffering from chronic jet lag and unrequited affections.

After connecting online via triple J Unearthed, The Flowers began jamming, writing and finding their unique ‘sad-happy’ sound in 2018.
“I've always wanted to write an unreserved, heart-on-your-sleeve type love song, so ‘Summer Saviour’ is my attempt at that,” explains vocalist Agnes O’Dwyer. “Having always adored songs like ‘'Be My Baby’ by The Ronettes and ‘Think About Love’ by Dolly Parton, I wanted to sort of write my own serenade-y type track.“

The foundations of ‘Origami’ were first laid in vocalist Agnes O’Dwyer’s solo days. Until the band’s formation, the track remained on the shelf. On one fine jam day, Dylan added his lush guitar line and Leighton his driving beat, and ‘Origami’ blossomed.
