After a stint writing and working in Tanzania, Gordi relocated to Sydney to pursue her musical career (as well as some sideline studies in medicine).
As Gordi (with a hard ‘G’, not as in Geordie Shore) looks towards her next EP due out in May 2015, she has transformed the shells of her demos recorded in her university dorm room in Sydney’s Newtown into dynamic and full-bodied indie-folk songs with the help of Melbourne producer Benjamin McCarthy.
Following its release in October 2014, ‘Nothing’s As It Seems’ was quickly added to alternative radio around Australia, was swept up by the blogosphere and featured in a number of influential charts and 2014 year-end lists.
That single, along with ‘Taken Blame’ are the first tastes of Gordi’s forthcoming EP – tracks that will have you going back for more.
