The project came about in the wake of the end of two bands - although just 21 years old, Felix is a veteran of local favourites Bearhug and Claire & The Cops. Almost by accident he found himself recording alone at home, with no agenda other than to satisfy and entertain himself. Inspired by acts like Lace Curtain and Holy Balm, Felix taught himself to program drum machines and relished the opportunity to make music quickly, as a totally DIY experience.
His debut 2016 EP "State Of Mind" saw Noisey rave "Blending pumping 80s drum machines and pop-driven guitar phrases to create bouncy, upbeat disco-pop anthems, it's like a bruised candy apple".
Felix's live 4-piece band have supported Toro y Moi (USA), Cate Le Bon (Wales), Methyl Ethel and others, as well as playing slots at Volumes, BIGSOUND, King Street Crawl and BAD Festival. themusic.com.au gushed of a recent live show "It was a fluent melancholic rush from start to finish".
