Amrap's AirIt | Australian Music Radio Airplay Project :: Classical :: Emili Rackemann - Shadows of Aswan

Emili Rackemann - Shadows of Aswan

Emili Rackemann - Shadows of Aswan
Born and raised in remote central Queensland, Emili Rackemann's deep affiliation with the land and its unforgiving lifestyle may be contradictory to what defines a traditional composer, however there is no doubt her authentic image and exquisite talent is on the forefront of redefining piano performance.

One of ten women composers invited to perform at the 2018 International Composers Festival, Emili is finding her way into the hearts of her devotees, bringing women-hood into equilibrium within the world of music composition. While her music has sparked a beautiful interconnection between classical and minimalism, Emili's story-telling trailed with a love for live performance is undoubtedly giving Australian women a voice within the classical contemporary genre.

Emili often speaks of her music as an aural tapestry. With over one hundred compositions and her seventh album titled Elysian soon to be released, Emili's music invites audiences on a timeless journey. From unchartered history and personal thoughts, her music undoubtedly showcases the diversity of her much loved instrument.

Following several featured articles in magazines such as Classical Crossover and Vegan Lifestyle, Emili's journey as an artist and individual no doubt reflects all the qualities of an Australian female composer.
