As a creator of what he calls 'pensive pop', Just Shy makes music at the intersection of euphoria and melancholy; think evocative melodies, electronically-based production and thoughtful, often introspective lyrics.
With ‘Maybe I Can Turn This Night Around’, Just Shy pulls the listener into what Purple Sneakers call a “sad and synthy spiral with the utmost delicateness…[he’s] completely nailed it.”

It’s a pensive, electronic number about a night out that doesn’t feel right. The Record Doctor says the song articulates “a sentiment many of us can get around,” calling the track “exquisitely produced.”
