Following in the wake of ‘Who’s Going To Love You’ and his breakout debut ‘Wolves And The Water,’ ‘Call Me Home’ shows yet another side of Edward R.’s songwriting and producing talent. Opening with gentle acoustic guitar notes and layered vocals, the song begins as a neo-folk number before eventually making way for his signature grandiose production to take over, transforming the intimate into the massive, as a triumphant drum beat and purring bass line elevate the song into a stadium-ready behemoth.
The new single arrives after more than a year of build up since the release of his captivating debut single ‘Wolves And The Water,’ and coincides with the long-awaited announcement of his debut EP, Agrabah, which is out via We Are Golden and Create/Control and October 28.
Though only five songs deep, Agrabah is an EP that flows with the narrative and assured confidence usually reserved for full length records – something again credited to the writing environment.
