Drown This City - In Your Image

Drown This City - In Your Image
Twelve months ago Drown This City came face-to-face with the possibility that their momentum might be stopped dead in its tracks. After the sudden departure of a key member the band were on the brink of breaking down, but instead doubled down on their creativity, turned frailty into strength, and ultimately, a potential end into a new beginning. Now with their colossal EP 'Alpha // Survivor' (due July 5) at hand, Drown This City are marking a definitive new are off the back of what looked like overwhelming odds.

The release is a deeply personal and emotional exertion that encompasses stories of heartbreak, anxiety, pain, expectation and brokenness, but ultimately rising above this in power.

Their first taste of new music in over a year, lead single ‘In Your Image’ fiercely captures Reade's childhood experience of being born out of someone else's image, and her rising above it all to realise her power, individuality and self-worth.

“Don’t be afraid of your own power, your own ability to heal and be strong and be above everyone else,” Reade says of harnessing this. “Even if it’s lonely up there – it’s where you belong.”
