It was recorded with legendary producer Lindsay Gravina (Violent Soho, Magic Dirt, Lurch and Chief) at Birdland studio.
Dark Fair is a garage/rock/pop duo including Ramona Moore (lead guitar/vocals) and drummer Ellie Dunn (aka Snowy). Both share a deep love of black jeans, single-malt scotch, early 80s/90s music and vegetarian spring rolls.
The band formed in midst of winter, 2012, with their first rehearsal at Bakehouse Studios. Seven months later they were invited by Adalita to support her on a national tour. Since then, Dark Fair has played with Veruca Salt, They Might be Giants, Kingswood, Bloods, and Jen Cloher.
In 2014, they released their debut EP, You Shouldn’t Be Mine, with the help of co-producer Neil Thomason and Adalita Srsen on bass guitar. The EP received rave reviews, with lead single “Poison” receiving high-rotation on Double J.
“Listen Up” launches at The Old Bar on February 28 with supports from Ouch My Face and Claws and Organs
