Michael Kieran Harvey is a foremost interpreter of contemporary piano music,a composer, and champion of Australian music. He commissions new Australian music and performs with Australia's leading ensembles and orchestras.
The work takes inspiration from Frank Herbert’s 1966 futuristic ecological novel The Green Brain, in which insect intelligence evolves leading to a resistance against the devastating impact of humans on the biosphere.
THE CD is 20 movements for keyboards and piano, each named after major insect genera, and accompanied by a series of ‘concrete’ poems by poet Arjun von Caemmerer.

Jessica Zuk (flute), Callum Watson (piano) and Joel Hands-Otte (clarinets) are an acclaimed Australian piano trio performing innovative arrangements and new compositions that explore jazz and classical fusion.
Playing With Division is an original composition composed by Callum Watson specifically for this ensemble. The work features a prominent opening theme proposing to fuse elements of Mozartian harmony with syncopated jazz harmony - based on perfect fourth intervals - complemented by a virtuosic middle section reminiscent of Phillip Glass.

23 piece-string orchestra arrangement, Throughout its almost-six-minute journey, Hymn rises and falls through orchestral landscapes that feel as bold and impactful as they are intricate and delicate, increasing and decreasing in intensity as it draws longer. It’s based around a meditative two-bar pattern, increasing and then decreasing in density.

Renowned for their expansive sound and prolific collaborations, the 1990s saw Brisbane come to know Topology through their original compositions as well as their adventurous re-imaginings of popular music collaborations.
Based on the DNA sequence of the first complete genome ever mapped. The DNA letters are mapped to pitches to create melodic and harmonic material. Biologists use C, G, A, and T in the DNA mapping, composer John Babbage used those notes but substituted the “T” with the note D.
