Her debut soul inspired album I Hope You’ll Be Very Unhappy Without Me (Produced by ARIA nominated Jake Mason of Cookin’ on 3 Burners) was lauded #2 Album of the Year on ABC Radio National and nominated for Best Soul Album at The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014. Chelsea headlined the Arts Centre Melbourne stage at the Australasian World Music Expo; supported Macy Gray on her Australian tour; and made her UK debut at Glastonbury Festival 2015, subsequently selling out the famous London Jazz Café. Chelsea is the Artistic Director of Stonnington Jazz Festival, Board Director of Music Victoria and Broadcaster for Mi-Soul Connoisseurs London.
Her second album “Chasing Gold”, sees Chelsea move into rare-groove disco territory. Co-produced with Ross McHenry (The Shaolin Afronauts) the LP is scheduled for release early 2019. The first single “Real Love” with accompanying film clip will be released 26 October.
To celebrate the launch of the single and preview new tracks from “Chasing Gold” Chelsea will perform in BAD GIRLS DISCO with Renee Geyer and Kylie Auldist, a feature event for Melbourne Music Week at the Australian Centre for Moving Image November 20.
