Chance Waters - Infinity

Chance Waters - Infinity
Chance Waters (formerly Phatchance) is an independent hip-hop artist from Sydney specialising in introspective song-writing acoustic and electronic textures with samples and live instrumentation. In 2009 he released his debut album 'Inkstains' - which saw him labelled "an intelligent lyricist and masterful story teller" (The Australian)' "a breath of fresh air" (Rave Magazine) and "an impressive glimpse into the future" (Onion Magazine) - as well as securing coveted Triple J Unearthed & Music NSW featured artist spots. Lead single 'Inkstains' saw rotation on triple J and community taste makers including FBi (Sydney) and even went viral on YouTube in a BMX video accruing more than 250,000 plays. Taking his show on the road chance embarked on two national headline tours to over 7000 punters, as won support slots for internal heavy-weghts Redman & Method Man, DJ Premier, The Beatnuts & De La Soul as well as local mainstays Bliss N Eso, 360 & Pez, Drapht & The Herd. In 2011 he released an acoustic re-imagining of songs from his first album titled 'Inkstains (Acoustic)' and embarked on the first ever acoustic Australian hip-hop tour, including a capacity three week residency at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney, and capacity shows in Melbourne & Brisbane.

About this track...

Produced by Adelaide artist-to-watch One Above who produced The Hilltop Hoods #1 Platinum selling single "I Love It ft. Sia". Shying away from the typical dumb-it-down approach to lead singles, Chance muses over a complex and moving arrangement of samples, live instruments and, eventually, pounding drums.
