Centre and The South - Take It As it Comes

Centre and The South - Take It As it Comes
From humble beginnings launching as a roots duo in 2009 Melbourne’s Centre and The South have evolved to become an 8-piece reggae roots powerhouse incorporating elements of world, funk, soul and rock.

Centre and The South are excited to release their breathtaking debut album ‘Yadah’ which will see the band touring the East Coast of Australia early this year. The album succeeds previously released single titles: ‘Feel That Flow’ (2014), ‘Inner City Paradise’ (2014) ‘Lay Low’ (2012) & their debut EP release ‘Something New Something True’ (2012).

Tracking the foundations of the ‘Yadah’ at The Aviary studios the band then partnered up with heavyweight producer Michael Cristiano (The Seekers) to mastermind the 12-track album at the esteemed Soundplant Productions. The ever-charismatic Lisa Edwards features as guest vocalist in the title ‘Sweet Spirit’.

Centre & The South have enjoyed successes of playing stand out performances across St Kilda Festival (2015), Strawberry Fields Festival (2015), Tanglewood Festival (2015) and many more. Ranging from supporting national heavyweights Kingswood, the vivacious musketeers have also enjoyed sharing line-ups with international acts such Free Like Me (USA) & Kalasmica (ITA).
