Burdiya Mob - Djarliny

Burdiya Mob - Djarliny
The Burdiya Mob project is part of Community Art Network program to celebrate Noongar culture, language, music, dance and pride.

Students from Narrogin Senior High School worked with professional artists/performers Scott "optamus' Griffiths and Noongar Singer/Songwriter Gina Williams to write, record and produce an original song honouring their culture.

The students then worked alongside film maker Poppy van Oorde Grainger to produce a music video clip for the song.

About this track...

'Djarliny', means ‘listen’ in the Noongar language. The song was produced during CAN workshops and the video clip was filmed around Narrogin, including at culturally significant sites.

The music video clip is a celebration of contemporary and traditional Noongar culture and promotes language revival, cultural pride and creative skills development.
